Upcoming Trends in Healthcare From Key Women in the Industry
MUST attend event - Lean construction is still in tune to developers and contractors. Check out this forum and gain insight into the latest innovations.
Lean in Design Forum attendees will learn how one of Chicago’s largest owner organizations, University of Chicago Medical Center (UCM), could break free from routine, reshape its entire community and lead a Lean transformation alongside designers, general contractors and trade partners within a two-year span.
How did UCM decide to make this transformation so quickly? Rich Seiler, moderator of the panel and Unified Works Lean coach, says UCM’s Operational Excellence Team had been successfully promoting Lean thinking in its health care approach for about five years when the CFO and CEO turned their attention to Lean design and construction.
The panelists will reflect on how they saw designers benefiting at all parts of the Lean process and how their involvement enhanced projects by ensuring on-time delivery, resulting in a “win-win” for all stakeholders.

PRESENTATION BY: Joel Hossli
Joel joined J.C. Restoration (JCR) in August of 2008 after over a decade in the insurance industry. His prior experience as Property Adjuster for a national insurance carrier made Hossli the ideal choice for developing the new Claims Management Division for JCR. In this role, Hossli acted as a dedicated point of contact for the insurance adjuster, providing superb communication and efficiency on all property losses. Joel then moved into the position of JCR’s Director of Operations. In this position he oversaw the management of each production department while still acting as Claims Management Director on JCR’s large loss projects. Currently, Hossli serves as Director of Business Development, and in this role, manages our current account representatives and directors who are responsible for undertaking sales activities that will lead to more work from current clients and new work from new clients.

Increasing government regulations and higher acuity levels are making many healthcare facilities obsolete. Becoming more and more popular is offering healthcare in an off-campus outpatient setting. The new economics of healthcare is resulting in a wave of mergers, acquisitions, and closures.
Come join us on December 2, 2016 to meet with your Chicago area peers whose mission is to support the evolution of healthcare services. IFMA HCI. This Free Event is to introduce prospective members to the Healthcare Institute and to Network with Key Chicago Healthcare Leaders.
JUST ADDED: Mr. Mike Vivoda, Senior Vice President and President, West Region Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, will share the story of Cadence Health - why a strong health system like Cadence Health merged with Northwestern Medicine and what have been the intended and unintended consequences since merging September 1, 2016.
