Ms. Ford is Director of Project Management with CBRE Healthcare Services Group, as a healthcare team leader she assists regional healthcare institutions in identifying means and methods of providing high quality healthcare solutions. She brings over 30 years of diverse healthcare experience to CBRE. Some of her current clients include; Presence Health, Edward | Elmhurst Health, Cook County Health, and Sinai Health.
Previously, she served as a Principal at a healthcare architectural, interior design and engineering firm and prior to that was Director of Construction and Planning at Northshore University Health System, where she provided strategic leadership for master planning activities and managed a large staff and over $400 million in construction initiatives during her 10 year tenure.
Victoria Navarro, MBA-HCM, Advocate Health Care, Manager of Planning and Design, South Region Planning, Design and Construction Department
Navarro manages forward focused projects for Advocate Health Care, the largest integrated-delivery healthcare system in Illinois with 12 hospitals and 400 additional care sites. Navarro spent much of her professional career in the planning, design and construction of health care facilities. During these 20 years, Navarro has served as senior healthcare planner for national architectural firms providing the highest-level planning expertise to healthcare clients and as a leader for high value capital construction programs for two large healthcare organizations. She has earned the trust of hospital leadership with her knowledge of clinical operations, industry best practices, evolving technology, innovative project delivery methods and integrated lean construction principles. She has a masters of business administration in healthcare management from Loyola University Chicago and a bachelor of architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Abbie Clary, AIA, ACHA, LEED AP, Cannon Design, Director Health Practice
Abbie supports the growth and development of CannonDesign’s global healthcare practice — focusing specifically on market differentiation, business growth and client engagement. Responsible for overseeing more than $2.5 billion in healthcare projects over the last 22 years, she’s become an expert at helping organizations rethink their strategies and facility investments to better respond to consumer expectations and achieve new levels of business success. Her passion lies in the realms of academic medicine and translational health sciences — helping institutions break down physical and cultural barriers to push innovation and medical breakthroughs forward.
Passionate about women’s issues and equality in the profession, Abbie consistently pursues opportunities to encourage diversity in all of its embodiments; she founded the Women’s Networking Dinners for working professional women within the healthcare industry, attended the 2017 Forbes Women’s Summit, and is dedicated to creating project teams that reflect the diverse organizations we work with. In 2009, Abbie was named to Building Design + Construction magazine’s “40 under 40” list of leaders in the industry.
